Naomi's second Christmas was an exciting one for all of us, and I will let the pictures do most of the talking, since I have been MIA from my blog since November! More like busy growing another person lately, but more to that later! That's a whole 'nother post I'll hopefully get to this week! :)
December was and always will be such a fun month for us. Naomi's really got a little personality on her these days, and it was so much fun to watch her face light up as we talked about Santa, his reindeer, and the North Pole. She was really tickled by the Polar Express and Frosty the Snowman, and as she sang Frosty all month long and some into the new year, "Fra-rah, rah rah, lalalala," she also "ho ho ho-ed" her way all through the month too. Andrew even heard her do it again today as she pointed to the picture with Santa Claus on the table. Yep. I leave 'em up all year long. I'm cool with Santa like that.
We started off the holiday season with a Christmas parade on River St, and Naomi loved all the sites and sounds that came along with it. Can't wait to do it all again with St. Patty's coming up. Always a guaranteed good time in Savannah.
Then, on December 23, we had our very last beach day of the year which turned out to be one of my favorite days of the year. Temps in the low 80s and just two days before Christmas. Oh how I love this city!
Christmas morning was, of course, a success. Naomi rounded the corner with a bewildered look in her eye that stuck around for most of the morning. She really wasn't sure what to think. All of the images, cartoons, songs, and visits with Santa became a little more real for her this time around. Next year will be even more exciting. My favorite time of year. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas 2011, and hey, at least I got this post up before February! All signs of Christmas have been gone for weeks now, hard as it may be to believe. I swear it! ;)
