Ready for Baby

Update on baby boy Lee:

We went in for our 37 & 38 week OB visits, and things are running along smoothly.  Baby's heart rate is 144 - about where it's been the entire pregnancy - and as of 36 weeks, he was measuring 6.3lbs, so we are expecting a 7lb-something baby to enter our lives shortly!  I'm guessing 7.14lbs. Naomi was born 7.10lbs. I was 7.12lbs and Andrew was 8.14lbs, so I'm hoping he will arrive any day now and weigh around 7. Ha.  But the way I'm eating (still) these days may be an indication that he will be following in Deddy's footsteps!

One thing's for sure: I am READY. I'm tired, heavy, and ready.  Mamas who I've heard talk about their misery with pregnancy in the summer were seriously on to something.  I always brushed it off like, "How hard can it be?"  Well throw in an extremely active, smart, sassy, and strong-willed toddler into the mix with the stifling heat, and you've got yourself one worn out mama.  I'm trying to stay active, but all I really want to do is nap.  And if one more person tells me to put my feet up and rest, they're fired. Ha.  I rest when I can, and I'm lucky to get a one hour nap out of Naomi these days, but then again, I'll take what I can get.  We're spending lots of time these days doing "quiet" activities - visits to the library, reading books, coloring, painting...as much as I'd like to be poolside, you and I both know it just sounds strenuous taking a two year old to a public pool. So, our pool time at the YMCA will have to wait. Bummer.

joining Mama under the shade!
On the flip side, his room's ready, babysitters are on stand-by, and his big sister, Mama, and Deddy are reveling in anticipation!  Last minute preps around the house (making EASY, minimal dinners & casseroles/lasagnas for freezer), and it's go time! It's the waiting game now, and I am more ready than I ever thought I'd be. Come on baby!!

35 weeks! WOAH Mama!

Our precious new pup, Louella or LouLou as Naomi calls her.

cute look, Omi. :)
